Psychiatric assessment, consultation and report (2-4 hours) – £650.
This includes an initial assessment, development of a management plan,
moderate background reading, and writing a psychiatric report. A consultation and report
exceeding 4 hours in preparation time will be charged at an additional £245 per hour.

Please note that most follow up appointments will involve writing a post follow up letter to the GP updating them on what has taken place. This is charged at an additional cost  of £62.50 *(15 minutes of time).

Clinical administration and liaison, including telephone calls, emails, letters, report preparation/reading significant documentation and other tasks relating to assessment, therapy and care – £120 per half hour. Where this has occurred it will be documented in the invoice.

Initial assessment deposit – £200.
Please note that in order to confirm an initial assessment
appointment a deposit of £200 is required. If an appointment is cancelled less than two
working days (48 hours) before the appointment date the deposit will not be refunded.

Dr Westgarth will confirm fees before any work is undertaken.

Dr Westgarth may discuss internal referral to Child Psychiatry UK Associates to deliver your therapy. If you choose this as an option he will tell you the hourly rate for your agreement before work starts. These rates vary but are often £114-£145 per hour or for a fixed fee to be agreed.

Clinical administration and liaison by Child Psychiatry UK Associates, including telephone calls, emails, letters, report preparation/ reading significant documentation and other tasks relating to assessment, therapy and care will be charged at each Associate’s specific hourly rate. Where this has occurred it will be documented on the invoice.

Medico legal work – £300 per hour or fixed fee to be agreed.
