  • I want to thank you hugely for all you have done our son. The medicine you prescribed him was nothing short of life changing! His tics are so much better managed, he is better regulated day to day,  and able to cope with things that previously stressed him out.

Before we came to you, we were in quite a desperate situation, and we are forever grateful for how you have helped him. It doesn’t bear thinking about, how our whole family would have coped had we had to wait for CYPSS without any intervention. Thank you so much for everything!

    Dad of a young boy
    with Tics, ADHD and Autism
  • I just wanted to say thank you for everything, I dread to think what her/our life would be like if we didn’t have you to help and support us as well as you do. You are literally saving lives, and we can’t thank you enough.

  • Further to your discharge of our son, I would like to reiterate our most grateful thanks for everything that you have so kindly done him over the last few years – absolutely fantastic, ad a massive “Thank You”. It so wonderful to have our son back we are so thrilled to see him happy, positive and enjoying life.

    Dad of a boy

  • I just wanted to let you know how happy we were with Dr Burton’s intervention and that she was fantastic with our son. He really took to her and we wouldn’t hesitate to request her support if we need it in future.

A mum of 9 year old boy
who saw Child Psychiatry UK Associate Dr Nicola Burton
  • I want to thank you for all your help, it has provided me with the skills to not only overcome a lot of the mental health issues I was experiencing, but also you taught me how to adapt to certain situations and use techniques in order to overcome any issues that arose whilst doing a multitude of activities, such as socialising or job interviews.

    for their son
  • “A very BIG thank you for looking after my daughter. You [Dr Westgarth] and Craig having been a huge help in turning things around, and I can’t thank both of you enough. Amazing!

“Thanks to your support she has gone from being a girl I no longer recognised to having my lovely daughter bouncing back with her smiles and happiness. I have my daughter back again.”

    Mum of a teenage girl
    with social phobia
  • For my son, understanding his difficulties and coming to terms with the thought of taking medication was hard. Dr Westgarth was able to help him understand the short and long term benefits of medication. He was able to reassure my son that he would be supported along the way.

    Parent of a boy
    on ADHD medication
  • “Our son was diagnosed with body dysmorphic disorder. He is in control of his own life now and doing well. Although he may never be fully free of it, with Stephen’s help he has developed resilience and the skills to manage and cope with it. Where others had failed to provide support, or engage our son, Stephen succeeded and we are very grateful.”

    Parents of a teenager
    with Body Dysmorphic Disorder
  • “We faced a long journey from Scotland to see Dr Westgarth but it was a journey worth making. Stephen really listened and tailored the support he provided to meet our son’s needs. He adapted with him when life events meant the focus needed to change. As parents we felt supported too – informed, included and relieved that there was someone who could help.”

    Parent of a teenager
