Carmen has over 13 years’ experience as an Advisory Teacher providing support and guidance to parents, carers and school professionals. She works with children with mental health and behavioural difficulties, developing coaching workshops in ASD and ADHD.
Carmen is trained and experienced in running specialist evidence-based parenting groups including: Webster-Stratton Incredible Years Parents’ and Dinosaur Programme, New Forest Parenting Programme, Mellow Parenting Programme and Triple P (teens).
She has a special interest in coaching young people to help them work to achievable and measurable goals and in working with parents and schools to increase understanding of mental health and wellbeing in the classroom.
Carmen trained as a teacher at Trinity and All Saints College in Leeds and gained a Graduate Diploma in Psychology from Sunderland University. She has completed further intermediate training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
